Classics in a New Light

Continuing with the theme of  "music of current interest", here are two fascinating videos that Alex introduced us to.  As with Robby's songs, there is great contrast in the themes (carefree joy vs troubled times).  Both are haunting, and performed with incredible feeling .....  and you may know that Over the Rainbow is one of my favorite songs of all time.

School House Rock and Spotify

One of my favorite things to do is watch You Tube videos (I definitely feel guilty about this, since I'm getting nothing accomplished while I keep clicking away.....).  A couple weeks ago in American Government, Robby you were introduced to the School House Rock version of The Preamble of the Constitution.  You were singing it at home for a few days.....  And tonight you told me that you like listening to Shadows of the Night on Spotify.  I've certainly heard of Spotify, but did an Internet search to learn what it actually is :-)

So, here are the videos for these memorable songs!  As a side note, we got an exercise bike and you now enjoy listening to music on your headphones while you peddle your 2 miles per day (typically in 6 minutes).
